It was supposed to be an ordinary day in the forest clearing, where young Candy—a small, innocent monkey girl—played happily under the watchful eyes of nearby animals. She was gentle, curious, and full of light. But that peace was shattered in an instant.
Without warning, a large male monkey named Bonita charged from the trees. Known for his aggression, he had been unpredictable before—but no one imagined he would turn his fury on a child. Candy barely had time to react. He lunged, grabbing her with shocking force and throwing her to the ground. His attack was brutal and relentless.
Candy cried out, her tiny voice filled with terror and pain. Animals nearby froze in horror, unsure of how to respond. She tried to crawl away, but Bonita struck again. Her small body was no match for his size and rage.
Suddenly, a group of elder monkeys and protective mothers rushed in, shrieking and baring their teeth. They pulled Bonita off the girl, surrounding him and driving him away. Candy lay trembling, bruised, her eyes wide with shock. Her fur was matted with dirt and blood. She whimpered softly, calling for her mother.
She arrived moments later, letting out a heart-wrenching scream at the sight of her injured child. Cradling Candy in her arms, she groomed her gently, whispering soft cries of comfort. The troop gathered around them in silence—mourning what had happened, and outraged that it could.
