Tiny baby FiFa sat on the floor, his little arms shaking as he let out sharp, heartbreaking cries. His face was scrunched up, his mouth wide open with a sound so piercing it could melt anyone’s heart. FiFa was hungry — not just a little hungry — he was desperate for milk.
His eyes searched frantically for his mom, but she was still busy preparing his bottle inside the house. Too small to understand time, FiFa couldn’t wait. The minutes felt like hours to his tiny body, and he began to scream louder and louder, flailing his legs and slapping the ground with frustration.
His little belly growled, and his soft fur was damp from the sweat and tears of waiting too long. He curled into a ball for a moment, hugging his knees, then stretched out again with another loud wail, hoping someone would finally hear him.
Finally, Mom came rushing out, a warm bottle in her hand. FiFa’s eyes lit up, and he reached for it instantly with trembling hands. The moment the nipple touched his mouth, he latched on tightly, sucking hungrily like it was the only thing that mattered in the world.
Mom sat close, rubbing his back gently, whispering to him in soft tones to calm him. FiFa’s cries turned into soft whimpers, then total silence as he fed. His little body relaxed, and his breathing slowed, filled with the warmth of nourishment and safety.
After the bottle was empty, FiFa looked up at Mom with sleepy eyes and a satisfied belly. He gave the tiniest smile, leaned in, and cuddled into her lap.
It was a tough moment for this tiny monkey, but with Mom’s love and care, FiFa knew everything would be okay again.
