Doudou was having a calm afternoon, exploring the area and observing the world with wide, curious eyes. Everything seemed peaceful—until suddenly, little Luna burst into loud cries.
Startled by the unexpected sound, Doudou froze.
Luna, the tiny baby monkey, had gone from calm to upset in an instant. Maybe she wanted milk, maybe she was tired, or maybe something small upset her sensitive baby feelings. Whatever the reason, her voice filled the air, and she flailed her arms in a mini tantrum.
Doudou, still very young himself, didn’t quite know how to react. He crept closer, tilting his head, trying to understand what was happening. His eyes were full of wonder—and a little fear. He had never seen Luna behave this way before.
Was she hurt? Was she mad?
He reached out just a little, not too close, then quickly stepped back again. The crying was loud, and for a young monkey like Doudou, emotions like this can be confusing and even scary.
But soon, Luna’s mother came over and gently picked her up. With a few soft strokes and a warm cuddle, Luna slowly calmed down. Her cries faded into little sniffles, and her tiny hands clung tightly to her mama’s fur.
