Mother Monkey Struggles to Care for Her Baby

She had just become a mother — but she didn’t know what to do.

The young mother monkey sat nervously with her newborn clinging weakly to her belly. The baby squeaked for milk, warmth, or even just a moment of affection… but the mother seemed confused. She shifted restlessly, often standing or moving too fast, causing the baby to slip or cry out.

She didn’t groom the baby. She didn’t help the little one nurse. Sometimes she walked away, leaving her baby behind without even realizing it.

Other monkeys watched from a distance, some curious, some concerned. The baby tried again and again to reach her, desperate for care.
