Tiny Heidi is not her usual playful self today. Instead of bouncing around, she’s curled up, shivering, and crying out softly — her little voice strained and full of discomfort.
It’s clear she’s come down with a cold. Her nose is runny, her eyes watery, and her breathing sounds tight and weak. Every few minutes, she lets out a heartbreaking scream — not out of mischief or fear, but from feeling miserable and alone.
She tries to find comfort, but nothing seems to help. Even when other monkeys come near, she stays curled, flinching at touch, wanting warmth but too tired to ask properly.
Illness in baby monkeys is always serious — their bodies are so small, and colds can become dangerous quickly. Heidi needs warmth, hydration, and gentle care if she’s going to recover.
