It was a painful scene to witness — little baby Luna caught in the middle of rough treatment from both Lory and her own mother, Lora. The two adult monkeys pulled at her tiny body with no sign of gentleness or concern, dragging her as if she were just an object, not a fragile newborn.
Luna’s small arms stretched as she tried to resist, her face filled with confusion and discomfort. She squeaked in distress, clearly frightened and overwhelmed. But neither Lory nor Lora paused to soothe her. Instead, they continued tugging her from opposite sides, unaware — or uncaring — of the harm they could be causing.
Her tiny legs stumbled as she tried to keep up, her body jerked this way and that. It wasn’t violent, but it was careless — and for a baby as small and delicate as Luna, even small tugs can lead to serious pain or injury.
It was heartbreaking to see her tossed around like that, without comfort or protection from the very ones who should be her guardians.
Scenes like this remind us how important gentleness and awareness are when it comes to young animals — just like human babies, they need love, safety, and care. Baby Luna didn’t get that in this moment. She got fear, confusion, and pain instead.
