Mother Monkey Lora Lifts Baby by Tail

Comments Off on Mother Monkey Lora Lifts Baby by Tail

In a surprising and strange moment, mother monkey Lora was seen grabbing baby Luna by the tail, then lifting her up and down repeatedly. It was an unusual sight — not the typical gentle handling expected from a caring mother.

Luna, still small and fragile, dangled helplessly as her tail became the point of grip. Lora didn’t seem angry, but her behavior was confusing. Instead of holding her baby close or grooming her like most monkey mothers do, she was swinging her in a way that made onlookers concerned.

The baby made small noises, not quite cries but sounds of discomfort. Her limbs stretched slightly, trying to balance or hold on, but she was clearly unsure and possibly frightened. Lora showed no signs of aggression, yet the handling lacked the softness and protection that newborns need.

It’s hard to tell if Lora was playing, stressed, or simply not fully understanding how to care for her baby. In rare cases, some mothers — especially first-time or confused ones — may behave unpredictably, even awkwardly, as they adjust to the demands of caring for a newborn.
