Helping Sheba Heal by the Pool

Comments Off on Helping Sheba Heal by the Pool

Today was another important step in Sheba’s recovery. She’s a gentle monkey who’s been struggling with a skin issue that left her looking tired and uncomfortable. But thanks to the patient care of Yat and me, Sheba is slowly improving—and today, we treated her again by the pool.

Sheba was calm as we approached, already starting to recognize us as a source of comfort. With clean hands and soft voices, we applied her topical medicine carefully to the affected areas. Her skin looked a little better than yesterday—less red, less irritated—and that gave us hope.

As we treated her near the poolside, she didn’t resist or pull away. She seemed to understand we were there to help. Her eyes were brighter, and she even gave a soft chirp, a sound we hadn’t heard from her in days. It was small, but it meant everything.

Treatments like these can’t be done just once. Healing takes time, consistency, and gentle patience. That’s why we’ll be back again tomorrow—and as many times as Sheba needs—to continue applying her medicine and watching her closely.
