Little Chamroeun is always up to mischief. His tiny face is round and bright, with big eyes that sparkle whenever he spots something he wants — especially when it’s milk time. Everyone at the rescue center knows when Chamroeun is ready for his bottle. He doesn’t keep it a secret at all.
Today, Chamroeun sits perfectly still on his soft blanket, his little feet tucked under his round belly. He tries to look so proper, so polite — but his eyes dart around, scanning every caretaker who walks by. His tiny hands fidget with the edge of the blanket, tugging it closer like it might make the milk appear faster.
At first, he tries to be patient. He blinks his big, handsome eyes, trying to charm anyone who looks his way. If that doesn’t work, he tilts his head and lets out a soft, pitiful squeak — a tiny cry, just enough to melt a heart.
But when no bottle comes right away, naughty Chamroeun drops the act. He puffs his cheeks, lets out a dramatic little whimper, then a bigger cry. His whole tiny body wiggles as he scoots forward on the blanket, lifting his arms toward his keeper like a spoiled little prince demanding his royal milk.
Sometimes he even tries to grab the bottle himself when he sees it — reaching with both tiny hands, lips already puckered in anticipation. When he finally gets it, he holds it tight, eyes closing in pure baby bliss, his cries replaced with happy little gulps.
In that moment, naughty Chamroeun isn’t so naughty anymore — just a sweet baby monkey, sitting very handsome, tummy warm and full, dreaming of his next bottle before this one is even finished.
