Brody Throws a Tantrum While Begging Mom for Milk

In the heart of the troop’s resting area, baby Brody was having a big moment. His tiny feet stomped on the soft ground, his face scrunched up in frustration, and his cries echoed through the trees. The reason? He was hungry—and he wanted his mother’s milk now.

Brody had just woken from a nap, and like many young monkeys, his first instinct was to seek comfort. He hurried over to his mother, tugging at her fur and making impatient, high-pitched cries. But his mother was grooming another monkey nearby, and she didn’t respond right away.

That only made Brody more upset.

He plopped down, letting out louder cries. His little hands waved in the air, and he rolled from side to side, clearly having a baby-sized tantrum. It was a scene familiar to many parents—human or not. Hungry, tired, and feeling ignored, Brody was overwhelmed with emotion.

After a few moments, his mother turned and calmly reached out for him. She gently pulled him in and let him nurse, soothing his cries almost immediately. As soon as he latched on, his tears stopped, and his body relaxed into hers. The tantrum faded as quickly as it began.
